Mr. Thomas George Muthoot

Mr. Thomas George Muthoot, along with his brothers, viz., Mr. Thomas John Muthoot and Mr. Thomas Muthoot, is the core Promoter of the much-diversified conglomerate, the Muthoot Pappachan Group (MPG). Georgie, as he is fondly called, is the Managing Director of Muthoot Capital Services Limited, the listed entity in MPG, which is into automotive retail finance and one of the fastest-growing NBFCs in the country. Georgie is also the Promoter-Director with Muthoot Fincorp Limited, the flagship company in MPG and one of the largest NBFCs in the country.

He is also a Director on various MPG companies, across varied business domains, including Hospitality, Microfinance, Affordable housing, Automotive retail, Real Estate and so on. Georgie has been hands-on with MPG’s business for over three (3) decades now. The three Promoters-Directors have worked as an team, with a ganbaru spirit, working tirelessly & zealously, to take the Muthoot Pappachan Group to such scale, diversity and heights.

Muthoot Fincorp Ltd (MFL), the flagship company of the Muthoot Pappachan Group, of which he is a Director, is one of the leading NBFCs in the Country registered with Reserve Bank of India and is a financial services super-house. It provides customer-centric specialized finance by way of Gold Loans, MSME Loans, Microfinance, Home Loans, Auto Loans, et. al., to the low-income customers who are largely unbanked. MFL has a network of close to 3500 Branches across the Country with an average walk-in of well over 75,000 customers per day, touching & transforming millions of lives.

Georgie is also the Chairman of the Kerala Non-Banking Finance Companies Welfare Association, Kochi. He is also on the managing committees of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Kerala Branch and Equipment Leasing Association of India (ELAI), Chennai and represents the MPG at the Association of Gold Loan Companies.
